Keep Warm and Safe in the Cold!
Bitter cold temperatures are more than an inconvenience; they can pose a serious threat to health and safety. CPS wants you to be prepared and informed this winter on how to best handle cold conditions, so we encourage you to follow these important tips found in the flyers below.
New CPS Policy For All Volunteers
There is a new CPS policy that all volunteers/chaperones need to fill out an online CPS Volunteer application.
In order to volunteer at Canty, help with events, chaperone field trips, and assist in classrooms, all parents must complete the new CPS Volunteer application and be approved.
Dressing Appropriately for Cold Weather
All students will line up outside in the morning and go outside for recess depending on the below temperature guidelines. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather conditions (winter coat, hat, gloves, etc.). Students are responsible for obeying the rules and participating in recess activities in an acceptable manner.
