E-Absence - Send us Attendance Notes/Calls Virtually!
An exciting new feature is coming to the Aspen Parent Portal that will allow parents and guardians to submit student absences electronically. That means no more making last-minute phone calls or completing paper forms. Please see the e-absence video to show you how to submit a virtual absence note (no call or paper note needed!)

Cougar TalesCougar Tales is a collection of stories, poems, and songs written by students in grades 1-5 and performed by students in grades 6-8. The following stories were selected for performances:
The Pear and the Apple written by a 5th grader. Spring written by three 3rd graders. Bully by unknown 4th graders. My Goals, My Friends, My Heroes by the 2nd graders in room 117. Karma by unknown 4th graders. Snow by the 1st graders in room 116. |
MS. LIALIOS - A Canty Star - Est. 1984In memory of our very own Canty star, Ms. Lialios, we will be raising money for a memorial bench that the entire community can share in honor of her. Ms. Lialios came to Canty in 1984 were she pursued her love of teaching. One of her favorite performances with her class at the holiday assembly was singing, “Do You Hear What I Hear?“ wearing he handmade holiday stars. In honor of Ms. Lialios, we will be selling stars to students, staff and any community member that would like to donate. These stars will be able to be customized with names, well wishes or inspirational quotes.
Stars will go on sale Monday, May 16, 2022 through Friday, May 20, 2022

New CPS Policy For All VolunteersThere is a new CPS policy that all volunteers/chaperones need to fill out an online CPS Volunteer application.
In order to volunteer at Canty, help with events, chaperone field trips, and assist in classrooms, all parents must complete the new CPS Volunteer application and be approved. |
Dressing Appropriately for Cold WeatherAll students will line up outside in the morning and go outside for recess depending on the below temperature guidelines. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather conditions (winter coat, hat, gloves, etc.). Students are responsible for obeying the rules and participating in recess activities in an acceptable manner.
