Canty is a neighborhood school and has an attendance boundary. Students who live within this area may attend our school. Click on the CPS school locator link to verify your address.
2024- 2025 New Student Registration/Enrollment for 1st - 8th grade.

All new students must provide proof of required immunization and health exams at the time of enrollment.

Currently enrolled students must also provide proof of immunization and exam at specific grade levels Pre-K, K, 6 and 9.

Kindergarten Registration and Lottery
If your child was a part of our Canty's Pre-K Program and you currently live in Canty’s attendance boundaries you will NOT have to do a formal registration but please make sure to fill out an updated Emergency form to insure we can contact you with upcoming Kinder events. You can also join us for a tour of the school building and meet our principal for a Q&A about all the upcoming school year.

3 Steps to Apply for Early Learning!
There are early learning programs in every neighborhood for all children birth through five
years old. Applying to your family’s top choices is easy and the application is open year-round.
Follow these three easy steps to get your child enrolled in an early learning program.

  • Apply
    • Go to ChicagoEarlyLearning.org to explore your family’s options, and decide on your family’s top choices for early learning programs.
    • Then, complete your child’s application!
    • Application support for families with diverse learners, families can either go to a Family Resource Center listed below, or call the Chicago Early Learning Hotline for assistance (312) 229-1690.
  • Verify
    • There are two ways to verify in-person by appointment:
    • 1. You can verify your child’s application at the school where your child received their placement.
    • 2. At one of the Family Resource Centers located around Chicago. Find a Family Resource Center near you to verify and get help with the application!
  • Enroll
    • To finalize and confirm your child’s enrollment contact the early learning program that your child will attend in the Fall for any additional steps.
