Last Day to Apply to a CPS School
Today is the final day! All families applying to attend a CPS school in 2020-2021 must have their applications submitted by today in order to meet the Round 1 deadline.

Re-Ranking Programs
After the December 13th deadline, you will not be able to add new school or programs to your applications. However, for high school applications and Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools applications, you can re-rank the order of your choices until February 3, 2020. To re-rank your choices after December 13th, you will need a paper Re-Rank Form. Contact the Office of Access and Enrollment at 773-553-2060 or gocps@cps.edu to request this form if you want to re-rank your choices after December 13th.
Selections and Receiving Offers
Round 1 offers for high school applicants will be issued in late March 2020. Elementary and Pre-K offers will be issued in late April 2020. A full timeline and schedule will be posted to GoCPS in the coming months.
If you are interested in applying to a Selective Enrollment School and there are no test sessions available, don’t worry. For Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools, additional test capacity will be posted within the coming weeks, and for Selective Enrollment High Schools, additional test capacity will be posted on January 6th. You can schedule your exam AFTER the December 13th application deadline.
Application Submission Times
All applications are due on Friday, December 13, 2019. Families applying online can make changes and submit applications up until 11:59 p.m. CST. Paper applications must be received by the Office of Access and Enrollment by 6:00 p.m. CST.
